How To Make a Claim Against The Council

The following information will be useful to bring a claim against the council’s negligence:

  • is the defect at least an inch in height or an inch in depth;
  • do you have pictures of the defect;
  • has the defect been present for at least 6 months; and
  • do you have an independent witness who can verify this?
