Road rage accident and car replacement

Studies have shown that roadway design, poor roadway maintenance, driver behaviour and equipment failures are the four main contributory factors of car accidents. However, the driver’s behaviour and actions are usually the sole reason behind a collision.
Despite this, research has revealed that the majority of motorists (80%) involved in a road accident think the other party is to blame. Only 5% said they believed they were the only person at fault.
Speeding and time restraints can also create an accident. As drivers hurry to get to work during rush hour when there is a lot of traffic on the road, speeding makes up for lost time, but can cause a crash.
Drivers who are frequently on the roads are more likely to be affected not only by their own speeding but also by others speeding.
Another issue that can lead to a road crash is road rage. The chance of such an attitude occurring is greater in large cities, where traffic is excessive. The stop-start pattern of most motorway commutes can be stressful, especially if a driver is already late or has a meeting to get to.
Motorists who are already in an angry state are twice as likely to be subject to ‘road rage’ and car accidents as they think and drive aggressively and take more risks than other drivers.
Claiming a non-fault car accident
Anybody who has been in a road crash understands that it is not only inconvenient but also distressing, especially if personal injury occurs as a result.
Therefore, accident lawyers have reminded victims that they could be entitled to make a compensation claim if they have been involved in a non-fault accident. Compensation could also be awarded for lost earnings, pain and suffering.
Victims are also provided with a car replacement service for the time that their car is off the road. Many firms focus on getting a like-for like car for their customers. Several road victims stated how helpful a replacement car was to them:
“My Land Rover was parked outside my offices when a teenager driver smashed into its side doors. It wasn't written off but it needed a lot of work. I had no idea that car accident claim companies [...] existed but a friend recommended them and the next day I had another 4x4,” said a female driver from Bristol.
A 36-year-old male motorist from London commented on his findings with car replacement services: “I was clipped by a speeding driver on the M25. Luckily I only experienced a relatively minor whiplash injury but my Beemer [BMW] was a total write-off.” He received a replacement car the same make, model and colour.
Replacement car services can provide a driver with a hired car in less than four hours. All costs are paid for by the driver’s insurance firm of the person or organisation responsible for the crash.
Replacement cars can vary from large vehicles such as VW Golfs and Ford Mondeos to small cars like Renault Clios and Vauxhall Corsas.  Prestige cars and sports cars can also be provided.
